So, Friday night I made cookies.
Here's how it went down:
Larry was home all day and so we had decided to take a nap. Now, I've been trying to get sick...well my body has been trying to get sick, and Larry never gets enough sleep so that is just what we did! For three whole hours! It was awful and awesome all at the same time.
I kinda hate napping...
but that's a different subject for a different post!
So, we got up and started in on a How I Met Your Mother/Burn Notice marathon. As we are sitting there, I start thinking
I REALLY want chocolate.
Not an unusual thought for me, but I look at the clock and low and behold it's like three AM! We seriously had no idea it was so late! So I look at Larry and I draw his attention to the incredibly late hour and say that if only it wasn't so late, I'd make chocolate chip cookies. To which he replies: "Don't mess with my emotions that way!" So, since neither of us were tired, I made cookies.
I love this recipe I have for chocolate chip cookies! Seriously, perfect cookies! I'd give you the recipe but...I'm writing this in my room and there's a space heater in here...and it's cold out in the rest of the house...and my cookbook is in the kitchen...
Sorry, but I'm not braving the frozen tundra of my home for you.
If you want it, send me a message or leave a comment and I'll put it in the next post!
So other than that, we had a rather regular week! We pulled out all of the necessary staple snacks one night as we watched the Grinch and other assorted Christmas movies! Refer to the image below:
We have olives, dill pickles, popcorn, jellied cranberries, and chocolate milk. Usually those are the appetizers at my house Christmas and Thanksgiving morning and I just couldn't wait.
Olives are meant to be put on your fingers. It's just a fact.
I've been trying out a few different techniques to curl my hair...because I am just that exciting...don't judge me...and it's a little embarrassing the amount of time I have spent trolling around youtube looking for tutorials. It's amazing the things you can learn on youtube! So...these are my results...
Ya...that's embarrassing.
Anyway, I figured I'd do another Pinterest post and put the tutorials in there in case anyone cares to try it themselves!
Speaking of the Pinterest Post...
It actually ended up being much more popular than I had expected! So I've been collecting pins to put on another addition! It's actually been pretty fun!
So, I've also been working on the snowflake blanket throw I started! We got more grey yarn!! I'm almost done with the fifth row of the large medallions! I figure I only have about six more to go! Hey! Progress is progress!
Other than that, I guess the only other adventure we've had this week was catching a mouse! We were at Larry's mom's house doing some laundry (thank you thank you thank you by the way!) and all of a sudden, we heard a shuffle and then a squeak! Larry went over to check the trap and found this cute little guy:
I resisted the urge to pet it, since I'm a fan of NOT catching diseases from animals. But he was really cute!!! I begged Larry not to kill him, and so Larry got one of his work gloves and freed the poor little thing.
Well, that's it for now. We are working on finding a place to live in Rexburg currently. (We wanted to put a deposit down on a place in September, but other things came up as they usually do. It happens!) And we are going to start packing everything up sometime this week! The plan at the moment is to hit up Disneyland on the way to Washington! We aren't excited about that at all...
Anyway, TWO WEEKS TO CHRISTMAS!!!! Have a good one! And if you liked the first Pinterest post, keep your eye out for a new one this week!
Less Than Three,
Sarah
P.S. Oh! Also, you should answer the poll I put on here! Maybe it's cheesy...but then, so am I!
LOVE!
